Beggars.
If you look at Vr's The Top section under Journals you will see some interesting entries.
The top three journals according to how many favourite lists they are on are as follows.
3rd place: (not naming names) with 33 entries in total.
2nd place: (not naming names) with 276 entries in total.
1st place: (not naming names) with 25 entries in total.
I find it odd that people with so few entries have made it to the top 3 spots.
However if you go to the journals section and arrange it based on total reads you find something completely different.
Not one person from
The Top even appears on the first page.
I myself appear at the top of that list and this journal entry is not me griping about being usurped as number 1. I don't care about that.
What I care about is that the top three most read journals on Vr have the following total reads:
3rd place Imagesinwords with 104,423 reads total
2nd place Morrigon with 129,814 reads total
1st place Me with 137,088 reads total.
Whereas the top 3 journals according to
The Top are as follows:
3rd place with 2,013 reads
2nd place with 10,900 reads
1st place with 1,530 reads
Again, this entry isn't about not being number 1. This entry is about the trend of simply adding people to inflate your status. It is a slippery slope that is not only ruining the balance of the rating and ranking systems on Vr but is also extremely pathetic.
If your journal is good people will follow it on their own, stop asking me to add you just because you added me.

I liked Jarhead. Hurt locker was good too, but I get motion sickness real easy and it was hard to watch.
Saw The man who stared at goats...interesting. Off the wall.

The Men Who Stare at Goats was good, but not as good as the trailers lead me to believe.
I thought the hurt locker was a joke, seriously, that movie won an oscar? Pft, rubbish.
